TUNNELLING

The Kierbeck Design Services team is particularly
attuned to specific needs in relation to the
reinforcement of tunnel linings. Whether precast or sprayed concrete, our expertise in this area of
construction normally leads us to a design and
supply solution in the form of segmental cages and/or bespoke lattice girders. Complementing these core solutions are the options of ‘shotcrete’ mesh, rock dowels, spiles, mesh pins etc.

All options are technically supported by the Design Services team. All welding is conducted in
accordance with BS7123: 1989 in a CARES quality controlled environment.

Segment Cages

For precast radiused segments, where the need for dimensional accuracy is paramount, we design and manufacture segment cages using purpose made jigs. The segment cages can either be manufactured using Fastfix fabric or loose reinforcement.

Lattice Girders

Kierbeck manufactures a comprehensive standard range of lattice girders, which are downloadable here.

Our Design Services team also produce bespoke designs to precise application requirements.
